Comics Should Be Good’s 7th Annual March Madness!!

Welcome to the 2015 DC/Marvel Comic Character Tournament!

As the NCAA basketball tournament goes along, so will a series of polls matching various comic book characters against each other. This year, we’re mixing it up. We’re using just the cinematic versions of DC and Marvel superheroes (I didn’t count Jonah Hex and Constantine as “superheroes” for this bit, but I did count Nick Fury. Also, no Kick-Ass as that’s not a Marvel character). You’re voting for which superhero character (as portrayed by that actor) that you like the best.

You might differ with some of the rankings. In fact, let’s just take for granted that you will, in fact, differ and save yourself the time of saying, “A #6 seed? Character X should be a #4 seed!” or whatever, and just vote on what the Selection Committee came up with (especially since I’m not going to be changing anything).

Here are the four regions!!

DC/Marvel Tourney, DC Street Level, Final Round

The final round of region voting continues now!

Simply choose which characters you think would win in a (non “to the death”) fight in the following match-up. The voting concludes 48 hours from right now!

Each competitor has, let’s say, a half hour to prepare (so it’s not like Batman just walking up to Lex Luthor and punching him in the face – Luthor would be prepared), and can use whatever weaponry you figure would be typical for that character (so Lex Luthor can use whatever weapons you would expect him to normally use, but he can’t go get, I dunno, the Infinity Gauntlet, or whatever). In this particular poll, we’re using the New 52 versions of these characters. Also, a quick word on prep-time. When I say “prepare,” I really mean planning. They can’t, like, do anything to the place where they fight or anything like that. They can just quickly prepare for their opponent.

Each competitor has, let’s say, a half hour to prepare (so it’s not like Spider-Man just walking up to Captain American and punching him in the face – Cap would be prepared), and can use whatever weaponry you figure would be typical for that character (so Cap can use whatever weapons you would expect him to normally use, but he can’t go get, I dunno, the Infinity Gauntlet, or whatever). A word on prep-time – this only means that they have time to prepare. They can’t affect the area where they will fight or anything like that. Or lay traps or whatever. They just have a half hour to get ready.
