Hi Guys

I was on the comic sites looking for stores in which
my 28 year old son & I could bring HIS comics to sell.
was on the web sites, ebays, etc. and found that he
actually has a few that are $worth. He is I am moving
and we both decided to sell whatever we can b4...these
boxes have been moved so many times.....and he could
use some xtra $ right now.

Now, when I cam upon your site...Isaw this doggylike
comic character in the corner....(all in red) that was stunningly familiar to my doggy characters in an
idea cartoon call O'er the rainbow... about dogs who
had past on to their haven to wait for their earthly
owners and reunite together for eternity. It was meant in a humerous light...but publishers thought it
was a morose effort, and I was told to transform it
into a childrens book...just with circumstances in my
life so far...haven't been able to. Would like to
find out what comic books are these characters linked
to, and how can I purchase.

Thanks for your special response, I know its not the usual one.

Brian,

Here is a suggestion for a "Comics Should be Good" topic - A couple of weeks ago I found at a local bookstore and once again today a handful of graphic novel adaptations of Agatha Christie´s mysteries puplished by Haper Collins.

So far I´ve been able to purchase four of the eight titles: Death on the Nile, The Murder on the Links, The Secret of Chimneys and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I only read the latter and it was quite true to the original novel, as far as memory goes.

The adaptations are handsomely portraied in different styles, by a variety of authors (none that I´m familiar with)in oversized albums, like is the norm in Europe.

Other titles in the series include: Murder on the Orient Express, The Man in the Brown Suit, The Big Four and The Mystery of the Blue Train.

I think on the whole they are well worth checking out.

Brian,
While it may not have led to the actual settlement, there is a possibility something similar happened during the many years of conflict between Siegel and DC.

Check out Joe Simon's "The Comic Book Makers" which says:

"Siegel, however continued to harrass his foe. He penned raging letters that were mailed to Donenfeld's competitors, announcing his intentions to bring down the wrath of public opinion on his former publisher's back
One of these letters, allegedly written and signed by Siegel, proclaimed that at five o'clock on a stated day, he would dress in a Superman costume and leap to his death from the roof of the Grand Central Palace Building.
And it was on that day that the crowd of illustrators and comic book employees congregated on New York's busy East Side, waiting to see if the dramatic suicide would actually be carried out... but the heavy-set figure of Jerry Siegel never appeared"

Both Joe and Will Eisner were around in those days, so there might be something to it!

If I were to write an entry would you be able to print appropriate pages to go with it? I'm totally unclear on the procedures of scanning material etc and don't have any of that equipment, but do have some strong Reasons that I could try to share if you could add the pictures.

Hi there guys
terrific website that u have running, its really great!!
I have just bought the Lucifer tpbs, and was wondering what your opinions were. I loved the first 5, but the second half left me a bit off.
Likewise what was your take on the Preacher series?
Would like to know your thoughts!

Hey,

I just made a comment on the 300 page. I think it got posted twice. You can delete the first one as the second one has correct spelling and word choice.

Thanks

Dear Sir/Madam,

REF : Training materials - free resources for schools and for homeschool
students - Sample copies of promotional items - free stuff and comics for kids

I am writing to inquire about receiving, possibly free, multiple copies of the items as teaching materials advertised on your and in your publications list for distribution to homeschool students and students on healthcare courses. Anything to make my classes more interesting. I recently started working as a teacher - Can you help get me started ? Do you supply internationally ? I would be happy to promote the excellent work of your organisation and its products, highlighting the substantial contribution of your company to education - this would be a great way to distribute your samples and my hard up students would love them, I am sure. I would be pleased to receive as many items as possible to the following postal addresses :

14 Barnes Avenue
Fearnhead
Warrington
Cheshire
WA2 0BN

and also, if possible, duplicate copies to a charitable organisation I support - a school/hospital run by a group of nuns - Is there anything that your company can do to help my friends at all please ?

We are very low on resources - developing a professional resource library, teaching english, training traditional birth attendants, and setting up a hospital and a school. I am confident of the legitimacy of this project which supports one of Britain's largest aid programmes - a thank you for the Gorkha services. This area of India and Nepal has one of the world's highest maternal, infant and child mortality rates in the world, as well as one of the poorest literacy rates.

I would also like to inquire about publishing opportunities. I have attached soem samples of my chidlrens' stories - I ahev 700 in total and I would welcome your editorial comments on their suitability for publication. I look forward to hearing from you and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Thanks for the kind words about my cover of Cartoon Network Action Pack #9. I was quite pleased with the way it turned out, although Cartoon Network wasn't (DC was fine with it). They seem to think Ben 10 is off model. I also drew #10, but #11 will sadly be my last cover for a while, because I was not allowed to draw Ben 10. They opted to use clip art instead. Ouch! So the two small inset panels for #11 will be my only contribution to it's cover.

Great site, by the way. Keep up the good work!

Sincerely,
