EXCLUSIVE: Battleworld Gets Dangerous in Marvel's July 2015 Solicitations
So the holidays are upon us again and you’ve decided that in these tough economic times you want to support the comic industry by giving everyone on your list sweet comics. And not only that, but you want to take it one step further and only give female friendly comics…well, in that super specific case you’ve found the right list.
Like previous years, in addition to picking excellent female friendly titles, I also limited myself to books released in 2014 only. If you’re looking for more books that just those released in 2014, I urge you to check out my previous lists here: 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Now, I’ve put links to everything here for your convenience but as always, buy at your local shops when you can! These are in no particular order – and there are about 15 items and 3 pages so don’t stop before you’ve seen them all…let’s get started, yes?
Happy new year! It’s time for the first survey of 2014 and this time I want to know if you gave or got any comic book gifts. There are only 8 questions, (and then for each “yes” there are a couple of questions about whether the gift worked or not). You’ll see, it’s pretty basic and should only take about a minute to fill out.
The survey closes at the end of the day on Tuesday the 7th of January (in 6 days) so that there is time to collect the results and design an infographic based on them. (Check out previous infographics based on reader surveys here and here.)
It’d be great to find out how many of us are spreading and getting the comic book love, so please share this with as many people as you can.

Happy December folks. I don’t know where you come from, but ’tis the beginning of some viciously aggressive holiday marketing as you stock up on gifts and appropriate presents for your holiday-minded friends and family. With that in mind, I’ve put together a handy little shopping list for the people in your life who might appreciate a thoughtful gift. These holiday gifts are primarily aimed at (basically) adult tastes.
