Plus, I decided to show a couple of scans from The Li’l Depressed Boy volume 0, which was also published by Image and came out in December 2011. Enjoy!

Committed: NOT MY BAG – Sina’s Scathing Fashion Comic Interview

Next week a new autobiographical comic book comes out from Sina Grace. Unlike so many of its predecessors, this one is about a man with a job. He might not like the job, nor even want it, but he throws himself into it with a totality that nearly undoes him, sucking him into a destructive, corporate, retail abyss and spitting him out the other side, ready to become the artist he was meant to be. Luckily for us, that man is Sina Grace and he shares every aspect of that journey in Not My Bag.

“How do you feel, Yossarian?”

“Fine. No, I’m very frightened.”

“That’s good,” said Major Danby. “It proves you’re still alive.” (Joseph Heller, from Catch-22)

People often die in the night, devoured by their own nightmares. (Greg Bear, from “Petra”)

The end of many eras! I don't know why he looks depressed - I would love to watch movies in an empty theater! None more black Is it morally reprehensible to buy a comic with a cover by Darwyn Cooke? That awful logo almost ruins this cover I doubt if he was the only one Oh, the rage!

“There were little white puffs of clouds all across it, like a cat stepped in milk and then walked across the blue. I thought it was so beautiful I told Dmetro about it. He just stared at me. ‘I ain’t looked at the sky in ten years,’ he said.” (W. P. Kinsella, from The Iowa Baseball Confederacy)

Oh no, it's HAL! Well, that's a lying cover Chocolatey! Wait, a spooky Mignola drawing?!?!? He should go with the flow, man! Gleefully violent! The light! It burnsssss!!!!! It may, then, be said with truth that the Hebrews were the first to discover the meaning of history as the epiphany of God. (Mircea Eliade, from The Myth Of The Eternal Return)

Ms. Powers does not, in fact, appear in this comic! He fights for ... JUSTICE! The alien cover is MUCH cooler than the chick one! Nice boots! Why is her sword stuck inside his shirt? Cage Smash! Well, that can't be good Historical! You all love Ben Caldwell, right? GINORMOUS!!!! Oh, Hellboy-verse comics - you never disappoint!

Was the rise of the radical intelligentsia desirable, was their unchecked progress necessary in order that mankind might be led to the broad uplands of democratic freedom? Or was the very concept of democratic freedom a blind alley, developed to make the world safe for an intelligentsia which is only happy when playing at politics, at no matter what cost in suffering to the multitude? (Edward Crankshaw, from The Fall of the House of Habsburg)

The God of All Comics is back, baby! Man, Chaykin is pretty terrible these days, isn't he? Dang, that's a cool cover John doesn't actually go to New York in this comic Brereton + Roman history = AWESOME! Well, I mean, maybe he should move away from Death Way to give away the game, DC So much RAGE! Now THAT'S funny! With Sergio Aragones?!?!? Well, that has to suck She actually wears that hat in this comic! Omnibi rule, man!

Hey, look at that! I’m back in Arizona and I picked up almost two months’ worth of comics! Yeah, I’m not going to review them properly here – that would take waaaaaaaay too long. This is more of a “What I bought and the random thoughts I have about the issues and, why not, what I did in Pennsylvania for seven-and-a-half weeks.” Can you handle that??????

She told him about God, who resembled her strongly, an amiable, loving and sad person given to losing things, and dropping things. He it was, struggling to hold aloft so much, that fumbled and let fall their mother from out his tender embrace. (John Banville, from Doctor Copernicus)

This cover is a LOT more exciting than the interior! I hate to say this, but this is a terrible cover, although Gleason's signature is placed nicely Why are robots always grumpy? J. H. Williams III can pretty much do no wrong! Gosh, I wonder Not a hoax! Not an imaginary issue! Not a hoax! Not an imaginary issue! This issue would be a lot better if Lee Moyer painted it! That cover is totally creeping me out, man! Yay! She gets a name! Man, that cover is awesome! Mullet alert! That's just good advice for any situation Gene Ha phones in another cover I like how they both have shit-eating grins It's a good thing she's not naked, brother!

There was no hope for an empire that lost the will to prosecute the grand and awful business of adventure. (Michael Chabon, from Gentlemen of the Road)

Who knew Edison had his own robot? Oh, Klarion - why do you have to be so mean? Fightin' crime and hangin' tough! Man, if I weren't already married, I'd insist on those two on top of the cake! You want nudity? You GOT nudity! If only you could really do that to missiles! What's Danny doing with his left hand? Who can stay mad at Alice even though her comic is late? Why does his jacket not zip straight up the middle? Is he too cool for that? After his date in this issue, how depressed can he really be? Ah, romance! Fact: Rebekah Isaacs is awesome That's a weirdly defined back/shoulder on Bethany there Charles the Fat, unfortunately, does NOT appear in this comic periodical! Catman has some anger issues Why the cover artist change? WHY?!?!?!? I love the plummeting dudes in the background even though, if you think about it, it doesn't make sense He's totally pulling a Samson! People and dinosaurs living at the same time? Why not? Yep, still buying it Yay, it's back ... but for how long? The funny thing about this cover ...... is that Dejah Thoris wears more clothes on it than in the actual comic! Man, I really like that cover Will this be the last Cap Omnibus I purchase???? Swimming through all those eyes can't be good for you! This is ... odd
