Trade paperbacks, older editions, and miscellaneous for February AND March 2013
Last month, I didn’t get a chance to finish all of these before I went to the convention in Seattle, and then I was busy when I got back. So this month, we get a double dose of trades and books I’ve read and such. That means this is really long, and I apologize for that!

She Has No Head! – Why ‘Young Avengers’ Is The Future Of Superhero Comics
I reviewed Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie’s Young Avengers for CBR this week and gave it an – apparently controversial for some – 5 stars. Yeah, you knew it was coming. In advance, I apologize for something in this lengthy essay – I’m going to repeat something I wrote in a post a few years ago. Can’t be helped! (Well, sure it can, but I want to re-write it.) Plus, this is going to be … a bit different. I hope you enjoy it!

Phonogram: The Singles Club #7 and the joy of comics
The final issue of Phonogram: The Singles Club comes out tomorrow. I wasn’t going to bring it up early, but Kieron Gillen sent me the issue through the electronic mail, so I figured I would. Deal with it!
